How it works
How AgentPass makes your business work with AI agents.
One loop, in plain English: find out what agents can do, fix what they can't, publish your business where they look, and measure what they send you.
The AgentPass loop
Seven steps, one loop.
Each step builds on the last — and once you're measuring, the loop starts again with what you've learned.
Step 1: Audit
AgentPass reads your public website the way an AI agent would.
- A small sample of public pages (at most 20), plus robots.txt, your sitemap and structured data.
- Your robots.txt is respected. No account or setup needed.
Step 2: Diagnose
You get a plain-English report of what agents can and can't do.
- What AI can already do, what's blocking it, and why each issue matters.
- An Agent Readiness Score from 0 to 100, calculated by fixed rules — never by AI.
Step 3: Connect
Connect the systems you already use.
- Shopify, or your own system through the AgentPass Custom API. More connectors are coming soon.
- Credentials are encrypted, and AgentPass tests each capability against your real system.
Step 4: Fix
Turn on what agents need to do business with you.
- Product search, store inventory, locations, carts and checkout hand-off — you choose what's switched on.
- When a fix needs a change on your website, AgentPass tells you exactly what to change.
Step 5: Publish
Give AI agents a front door to your business.
- A branded agent address such as agent.yourbusiness.com (with an AgentPass address until your domain is set up).
- A distribution page shows where you're published, what's pending, and what still needs a platform's approval.
Step 6: Measure
See what agents actually do.
- Agent actions, orders traced back to agent carts, and the revenue AgentPass can attribute.
- What shoppers ask agents for, where agents get stuck, and whether your agent interface is healthy.
Step 7: Optimize
Keep getting better.
- Recommendations ranked by impact — for example, enabling inventory when agents keep asking about stock.
- Regular rescans and monitoring catch regressions before they cost you business.
- Scan my business
Start with step 1
A free scan of your website takes about a minute. No account required.
Honest evidence
Every result says how it was verified.
A public scan is not the same as testing your systems, and neither is the same as an AI platform confirming your listing. AgentPass labels which one every result is.
Level 1
Public scan evidence
What anyone can see on your public website. It's great for spotting gaps, but it can't prove what your systems do behind the scenes — so a missing signal is reported as “AgentPass could not verify”, never “you don't have it”.
Example: your product pages show prices and stock status in a form agents can read.
Level 2
Connected-system verification
AgentPass ran the capability against the system you connected — a real request, with a real answer.
Example: AgentPass checked live stock for a jacket at your downtown store through your Shopify connection.
Level 3
Platform-verified distribution
An AI platform itself confirmed your listing through an authorized integration. AgentPass only shows this when there's a verification record — never as a guess.
Example: a platform's approval record for your agent interface.
The free scan is a public agent-readiness test. It is not a test run inside ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or any other AI app, and AgentPass never says otherwise.
The Agent Readiness Score
A score from fixed rules, not opinions.
The same website always gets the same score. Checks that don't apply to your type of business aren't held against you — and the task results in your report matter more than the number.

Developer details
You don't need any of this to use AgentPass. It's here for whoever looks after your website.
MCP — the tools AI assistants call
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard AI assistants use to call tools. AgentPass hosts an MCP endpoint for your business that exposes only the capabilities you've switched on — for example search_products or check_inventory.
Every call goes through the same pipeline: identification, permissions, rate limits, logging with a trace id, then your connected system.
UCP — the agent commerce profile
The Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) describes what a business supports — catalog, carts, checkout — in a profile agents can read at /.well-known/ucp. AgentPass generates this profile for your business and serves the matching REST operations.
You can also publish the profile on your own domain; AgentPass checks that it's reachable and valid before calling it verified.
Your branded agent address
Point a subdomain such as agent.yourbusiness.com at AgentPass with a DNS record. AgentPass verifies the DNS before activating it, and it only shows the address as live once that verification passes.
Until then, your agent interface is available at an AgentPass address.
Checkout and payments
Agents can build carts and start checkout, but payment always happens on your own checkout page. AgentPass never handles card data and never becomes the merchant of record.
The scanner
Scans are run by AgentPassBot: public pages only, robots.txt respected, a small page budget and strict timeouts. Read how AgentPassBot behaves.
